Community Involvement

Rankin Construction and its employees are proud to be able to serve the communities we work in, both through the construction of infrastructure but also by supporting the worthwhile efforts of others in the community working hard to make it a better place for everyone. We have our hands in many causes, including community sports teams, fundraising for area health care, the Rankin Cancer Run, United Way and Hospice Niagara. We appreciate the work these groups are doing and encourage others to become involved with them also.

United Way Community Builder Award 2010 The United Way

The united way canvasses on behalf of many worthwhile organizations and programs in our community. Big Brothers & Big Sisters, Canadian Red Cross, Community Care, YMCA and the Victorian Order of Nurses are some of the local community programs that rely on the United Way. They are looking for your continued support and we encourage you to give generously.

Rankin Construction was given the honor of receiving the United Way's 2010 Community Builder Award and want to express our gratitude both to the community for this honour and to our employees for making it possible.

Minor League Sports and Recreation

Rankin Construction is an active supporter of minor league sports teams. The physical and mental benefits to youth gained through participation in team sports helps to prepare them for an active and healthy lifestyle.

Teamwork and leadership skills learned through these programs translate into areas beyond recreation.

Education

There are many great programs which can enhance the educational experience of young people and those looking to expand on their abilities later on in life. Businesses like Rankin both support programs directly and offer experience and insight that help ensure that the curriculum provides students with the necessary skill sets to be successful.

Several examples of programs and institutions Rankin is involved with include Brock University and Niagara College, the DSBN Ambassadors for the Conservation of Energy (ACE) Program and the Governor Simcoe First Robotics team Simbotics.
